This page is the account-deletion resource for Mooden on Google Play and the App Store. It explains how to remove Mooden-related account access and data.

Important

Mooden does not create a separate ForgeTech username or password. You do not register an email account with ForgeTech to journal.

Optional sign-in uses Google OAuth (Google Sign-In) only so Mooden can back up to your Google Drive app-data folder. App Lock (PIN / Face ID) is device security, not an online account.

How to request deletion — steps

Step 1 — Delete data on your device (required for the journal)

Open Mooden.
Go to Settings → Clear all data and confirm both prompts.
Or uninstall Mooden. Uninstalling removes the local journal from that device.

Deleted on the device: mood logs, notes, photos, voice memos, activities, reflections, reminders, theme preferences, and app lock settings stored in Mooden on that phone.

Step 2 — Disconnect Google and delete Drive backup (if you used backup)

In Mooden, open Settings → Google Drive backup and sign out / disconnect if shown.
In your Google Account security settings, revoke Mooden’s access to Google Drive if it remains listed.
Delete any Mooden backup remaining in your Google Drive app-data / backups for this app.

Deleted when you complete this step: the backup copy in your Google account and Mooden’s ability to read that backup. ForgeTech does not host that file on ForgeTech servers.

Step 3 — Cancel Mooden Premium (if subscribed)

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by a ForgeTech website checkout:

Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Mooden
Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Mooden

Canceling stops future renewals under store rules. It does not by itself erase your on-device journal (use Step 1).

Step 4 — Optional analytics identifiers

Mooden may send privacy-safe events to Firebase Analytics (Google) and crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics (Google). Those reports are not designed to include note text, mood scores, diary dates, photos, or voice memos. You may reset advertising / app identifiers in iOS or Android settings where the OS allows.

Step 5 — Email a deletion request (optional)

Email support.forgetech@gmail.com with the subject “Mooden account deletion” and include:

the email on your Google account used for backup (if any)
whether you need help confirming Drive access was revoked
your store country if the request is about a purchase

We will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days, sooner when possible) and confirm which steps remain on your side for on-device or Google-held data.

What is deleted vs what may be kept

On-device journal: Deleted when you Clear all data or uninstall.
Google Drive backup: Deleted when you remove it from Google / revoke access.
Google Sign-In session: Ends when you sign out / revoke access.
Mooden Premium purchase records: May be retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for billing, taxes, fraud prevention, and law — not your journal text.
Analytics events: May be retained for a limited period under Google Firebase policies.

Data we do not hold on ForgeTech servers

ForgeTech does not operate a Mooden account database of your journal. We cannot remotely wipe another copy of your notes from a ForgeTech cloud, because that cloud does not store them. If you need help with Drive disconnect, purchases, or analytics questions, contact us (below).

Partial deletion without “closing an account”

You can delete individual entries, export CSV, clear all local data, or remove Drive backup without creating or deleting a ForgeTech login. That gives you control over journal data independently of store subscriptions.
